The Artist-In-Residence program connects schools in our region with an Artstream-trained teaching artist who collaborates with grade-level teachers to bring creative arts experiences into their classrooms on a weekly basis. Engaging directly with students, initial sessions focus on building a positive classroom culture, developing attentive observation and listening, as well as fomenting a collaborative construction of knowledge. Sessions built throughout the residency aim at bridging creativity and exploration with interpretation and analysis.
